Cinco de Mayo: The great American tradition

Cinco de Mayo - translated Fifth of May in Spanish, conjures up images of grand festivities in Mexico. Rivers of margaritas flow unabated, colorful dresses are adorned by everyone, and even the animals wear sombreros. Reality is a bit different. May 5th in Mexico is just like any other day. Cinco de Mayo is primarily an American festival. It is celebrated in Mexico but only in the state of Puebla where they commemorate Mexico's unexpected victory against the French.
