Rolling Stone magazine has come under fire for putting Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on the cover of it’s upcoming issue.
The pic is a selfie that the 19-year-old terrorism suspect took of himself prior to the bombings, but he looks much more like a rock star than a killer.
Social media blew up Wednesday morning after the cover was unveiled with overwhelmingly negative responses. The magazine put out the cover on its Facebook page and it has already received thousands of negative comments.
The story, written by contributing editor Janet Reitman, delivers “a riveting and heartbreaking account of how a charming kid with a bright future became a monster.”
But they might have wanted to think twice before making it the cover story and using a photo where he looks more like a John Mayer wannabe than a man who helped murder three and maim hundreds.
