Lisa Hochstein and Lea Black join Joanna Krupa for a girls weekend trip to Los Angeles to help Joanna plan her wedding on this week’s episode of the The Real Housewives of Miami.
Both Joanna and Lea own fabulous homes in LA and it’s fun to see the ladies traipsing around another playground for the rich and famous. Lisa is enamored with both of her friends’ wealth and admits she is cozying up to Lea because she is in the fashion elite who can make a phone call to get the coveted Hermes Birkin bags which cost upwards of $10,000 each and if you are so lucky to get placed on a waiting list it could take years thereafter to actually purchase one. Even though Lisa owns three bags she is desperate to amass more, (much to her disgusted husband’s objection) and Lea uses her connections at Hermes to help land a bag which makes Lisa practically orgasmic with excitement.
On to a more serious subject, when Joanna hosts a dinner so her Miami friends and LA friends can finally meet, Joanna asks Lisa if she will be one of Adriana de Moura’s bridesmaids because if so, although she wants to ask Lisa to be one of her bridesmaids, “If you’re Adriana’s bridesmaid, you can’t be mine.” Lisa is visibly shocked by the rudeness and that as grown women, she is being forced to choose between her two friends. Joanna’s mother is aghast and tries to talk some sense into her hot-headed daughter and after much pouting Joanna says she will have to think about it.
Lisa writes in her blog, “For her to give me an ultimatum of whose wedding to be in is childish. I don’t engage in conversations behind Joanna or Adriana’s back. I’m not a double agent. I’m a grown woman and no one’s going to tell me who to be friend’s with, let alone whose wedding to be in puh-leasse!”
Joanna responds in her blog with, “I am not here to tell Lisa who to be friends with, but Lisa is the one that keeps dropping the hints she wants to be a bridesmaid at my wedding .. Is it that she really wants to be a bridesmaid because she cares about me, or because she wants to be the double agent that gets to be a bridesmaid in two weddings?”
Back in Miami, Alexia Echevarria is having a hard time handling her oldest son Peter, who has been in and out of trouble lately after he found out the truth about his real father, Pedro Luis Rosello, who was a drug dealer and a convicted felon. Peter is mad that his mother kept his father’s identity a secret for so long and he now idolizes him and thinks she should have told him that his father was a “pimp” and “awesome.” Alexia is trying to have him be productive and work at her Venue magazine and while they are doing a cover shoot on the streets of Miami, there is a problem with a cab driver who flips them off and hot headed Peter goes after him and hits his cab and the driver calls the police.
Alexia writes, “This incident at the shoot was the turning point for Peter and for me. For Peter, because he realized he needed to take control of his life and his behavior. In one second because of a bad decision, he could be in jail or even worse dead. For me, because I realized that Peter needed help desperately. Things were a lot worse than I thought they were.”
