Considering Alec Baldwin’s recent homophobic rants, you’d think the actor’s behavior would be considered offensive to gays in the industry. But not for one 30 Rock star, who is taking the high road in the situation.
RumorFix caught up with gay actor Cheyenne Jackson who had a very refreshing answer when we asked him what his reaction is to his former 30 Rock co-star’s recent bad boy behavior
Jackson, who had a recurring role on the hit show alongside Baldwin, tells RumorFix exclusively, “I love Alec Baldwin! I have had nothing but great experiences with him. I have spent many, many hours with him on set late into the night, and I have never heard him say anything derogatory”
The actor continues to dish, “I think people have bad day, I think people say things they don’t mean. I don’t know what his personal issues or demons are but all I can say is, from my own experience, I have had nothing but a great time with him, and I learned a lot from him in terms of acting and such.”
And while Cheyenne doesn’t support the kind of language Alec may have used, he still understands his position, saying, “That t is reprehensible to ever use language like that but he has his own relationship with the paparazzi and you don’t ever know until you’re in other peoples shoes. All I can do is speak from my own experience and I really love him.”
Baldwin got in hot water in November for allegedly using an anti-gay slur against a member of the paparazzi, after chasing another pap down the street and yelling at him. That incident made national headlines and caused the 55-year-old actor to claim he was misunderstood and was anything but homophobic after being called out for continuing to use anti-gay slurs from everyone from Anderson Cooper to GLAAD.
