They were Paula Deen’s last hold out.
And now RumorFix has confirmed that QVC is dropping the embattled TV chef, but they kept the door open for a return when her racial slur scandal is over.
QVC President and CEO Mike George says in a statement to RumorFix, “We too are troubled by what Paula has acknowledged saying. We’re also troubled by the allegations against her.”
So he says, “We have decided to take a pause. Paula won’t be appearing on any upcoming broadcasts and we will phase out her product assortment … over the next few months.”
He wants Paula to take the time to respond to the allegations against her. He implied that this is not a “forever” decision and everyone deserves second chances.
Paula adds, “We’ve agreed that it’s best for me to step back from QVC and focus on setting things right. I am truly sorry and assure you I will work hard to earn your forgiveness.”
