New Jersey Governor Chris Christie led a list of who’s who at Thursday’s funeral for actor James Gandolfini.
He was spotted arriving at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York and was greeted on the church’s steps by Gandolfini’s The Soprano’s co-star Vince Curatola, who famously played NYC mob boss “Johnny Sack” on the long running HBO series.
Over 1,000 mourners attended the two-hour Catholic mass for the 51-year-old star, who passed away last week from a massive heart attack while vacationing in Rome.
Other cast members who came to pay their respects included his TV wife Edie Falco, who played Carmela Sporano, pregnant Jamie Lynn-Sigler, who played Tony Soprano’s daughter Meadow, Aida Turturro, who played his sister Janice, John Ventimiglia, who portrayed Artie Bucco, and Michael Imperioli, who starred as Tony’s nephew Christopher Moltisanti.
