The Bob Hope Estate in Palm Springs just went on the market for $34 million dollars, which is $16 million less than the family wanted for it last year, RumorFix is reporting exclusively.
Our friends at Redfin tell us the uniquely shaped home, which sits on a mountain top in the desert, was designed by John Lautner and commissioned by Bob and Dolores Hope in 1980. It was supposed to look like a volcano.
The spectacular home, which can be viewed by hikers, has entertained dignitaries from all over the world and is viewed by many as one of the most iconic pieces of architecture in the world.
The 23,366-square-foot home has six bedrooms and 12 baths. Outdoors, it has a pool, pond, tennis court and outdoor fireplace.
Since Bob’s death in 2003, the home has mainly been used for private events.
