Amanda Bynes’ parents, Rick and Lynn Bynes, issued a letter to a Ventura County judge Friday morning, explaining why they believe they need to take conservatorship over their troubled daughter.
Aside from their 27-year-old daughter being taken to a psychiatric hospital for allegedly trying to set a stranger’s driveway on fire on Monday, the worried parents also revealed in court documents to the judge that, “When we asked her [Amanda] how she got here (from New York to Los Angeles), she said she cabbed it.” Lynn and Rick added, “We do not know how she actually traveled from New York to California. We also do not know where she has been staying prior to psychiatric hold as she has no residence in California. We believe she is essentially homeless.”
There are unconfirmed reports that Sam Lufti, who managed Britney Spears during her meltdown, bought Amanda a plane ticket from New York to Los Angeles.
The parents of the former child star include, “She [Amanda] talks incessantly about cosmetic surgeries she wants to have completed. She also encourages her mother to have plastic surgery. We are concerned that the surgeries she wants to have are dangerous and detrimental to her health.”
RumorFix has learned that Judge Glen Reiser has set another hearing for two weeks from now. In the meantime, he’s ordered an investigators to issue a report on her condition, adding that he wants to see her in court and “have a dialogue with her before we can move forward with conservatorship.”
